Please read the following disclosures and disclaimers
REPORTING PERIOD DISCLOSURE
PPA produces its portfolio and trading reports on a quarterly basis for the quarters ending 30 September, 31 October, 31 March and 30 June of each financial year. However, PPA prepares and uploads its quarterly reports to the PPA website on an ongoing basis throughout each quarter. The date shown in the report heading is the date the report is completed to.
FINAL ACCOUNTS DISCLOSURE
Reports are headed “Final Annual Accounts” when all investment correspondence has been processed for the financial year ended 30 June. Please note that you should not use any PPA report for income tax preparation purposes if the report is not headed as “Final Annual Accounts”
For example, many managed funds and trusts pay 30 June quarter distributions as late as the following September yet for income tax purposes, these distributions must be included in taxable income for the year ended 30 June as they relate to the 30 June quarter. However, the reports uploaded to the PPA website for the 30 June quarter will only include these distributions at the time of their receipt. Therefore, the reports will be incomplete in the period from 1 July to the time of receipt of such distributions. A report headed “Final Annual Accounts” indicates that all distributions have been received and processed and that the report is complete for that financial year.
TAXATION DISCLAIMER
PPA prepares its reports on a “tax ready” basis meaning that the reports include an estimate of the investor’s income tax position. However, this estimate is calculated only in regard to the financial transactions recorded in the report and may therefore not encompass the investor’s overall tax position or particular circumstances.
Accordingly, investors should seek independent tax advice in regard to their specific tax position and circumstances and not rely on the tax estimates in PPA’s reports in forming financial decisions. To the extent permitted by law, PPA does not accept any liability for loss or damage suffered by any party and caused by reliance on the tax estimates provided in PPA’s reports.
GENERAL DISCLAIMER
PPA takes every care when handling investment correspondence and in producing its portfolio and trading reports. However, to the extent permitted by law, PPA does not accept any liability for any loss or damage that any person may suffer whether caused by any negligence, mistake and omission or for any other reason by PPA.
